WHO invites to a meeting on strategies to improve and strengthen cancer programs in Europe.
EAPC has been invited, represented by its President Stein Kaasa. The meeting will take place in Geneva from the 25th to 28th of November 2003. The over all goal of the meeting is to reinforce collaborative efforts to improve and strengthen cancer control on programs in Europe at a regional national levels with special focus on central and eastern European countries. The participants will analyse the present situation, review the existing strategies with special focus on cancer control. One aim is to recommend possible strategies for improving the effectiveness and efficiencies of cancer control and finally decide about the use and validity of assessment tools in cancer control. Our President will represent the voice of Palliative Care. More details from this important event will follow

EAPC has been informed of a co-publication of UICC and WHO on “Global Action Against Cancer” published on the Website of the WHO. download document in pdf
