EAPC news and views
Dear
EAPC members, Dear readers,
The
information policy of the EAPC has been undergoing big changes.
From the year 2001 the EAPC Newsletter has been substituted
by an EAPC news section. EAPC news and views is published within
the European Journal of Palliative Care (EJPC) –
official journal of the EAPC – and is also inserted into this
section of our website, and will therefore have far more immediacy
than has been possible before.
You
can all keep informed on a regular basis. EAPC members will be informed
when news has been added to the website, and for those members that
do not have access to the internet, hard copies will be sent.
The
EAPC Board wishes to encourage information exchange as a 'news and
views' section. We, therefore, welcome feedback. The only restrictions
are those of space and topicality. We suggest a limit of 200 words
per item.
Please
send your comments and news with by email or as a word file in rich
text format to the .

EAPC
Newsletter
The
EAPC Newsletter first came out in spring 1989 and was initially
published twice a year. In the early years of the EAPC, this information
bulletin was distributed to all carers interested in palliative
care. By the end of 1993, the EAPC mailing list had grown to over
12,000 addresses in both European and non-European countries.
When
the official EAPC journal, EJPC, was first published in 1994,
it was decided to insert the Newsletter into the journal,
which is now published six times a year.
Since
1996, the Newsletter has been shipped in bulk to national
associations who have joined the EAPC for distribution to their
members.
