The Shaare Zedek Cancer Pain and Palliative Medicine Reference Database
http://www.chernydatabase.org/
Imagine having over 30,000 references on Cancer Pain and Palliative Care at your fingertips. This is what the "Shaare Zedek Cancer Pain and Palliative Medicine Reference Database" at www.chernydatabse.org gives you. Through the generous support of Purdue Pharma I am pleased to invite you to this gateway to my personal reference library in Palliative Medicine that has been accumulated over the past 12 years.
You can use this site in two different ways.....
Firstly' the entire library is searchable online, much as you would search Pubmed or Medline. Most of the articles are presented with abstracts.
The other use is that you can download my entire library, along with monthly updates, for use on your own desktop or even your PDA!! Bibliographic software allows you to build your personal library of references, to insert citations as you write and create a bibliography quickly and easily. Bibliographic software such as "Endnote" or "Reference Manager" have become critical tools for anyone writing medical papers. This wonderful resource allows you to rapidly review the published literature, find key references, write and format papers. Once you have downloaded the library you can update it either with the monthly updates from the site or from your own searches.
Our purpose in this project is to help make knowledge and resources available to everyone in the palliative care world... free of charge!! Nathan Cherny
