Mission Statement
Based on my diverse experience in the palliative care field I can assume responsibilities in various related subjects.
I would like to contribute to organizational task forces related to training (including academic level) of doctors, nurses, social workers and volunteers including ethical problems associated with the care of terminally ill patients.
I intend to be a factor in the organization of congresses and other activities that bring together care givers involved in the care of patients and families suffering from advanced disease.
Based on my recent activity I can support the organization of the palliative services at country level and contribute to the formulation of palliative care related legislation and policy shaping. Moreover, I can be of assistance in the writing of palliative care medical practice guidelines and support activities aiming to the recognition of palliative medicine as a specialty or sub-specialty.
I’d like to promote the implementation of existing palliative medicine scientific and practical knowledge and at all levels: community, hospitals and palliative centers.
I can contribute to publications concerning palliative care at both the management and scientific level.
The promotion of the exchange of information and expertise through scientific collaboration at international level is another goal I would like to pursue.
