Resource Alliance calls for case studies

Resource Alliance calls for case studies – Africa, Asia and Latin America

Beginning in 2007, the Resource Alliance will begin publishing a series of booklets – both in print and online – that will help fundraisers in the Global South to meet some of the biggest challenges they face. Each booklet will discuss a particular fundraising technique and will feature three case studies: from Africa, Asia and Latin America, to illustrate how small, non-profit organisations in those regions have put that technique to work.

The first two booklets are tentatively titled “Raising Money from Organizations” and “Making Your Case for Support”. We are seeking case studies from the Global South to show how smaller NGOs have successfully raised money from organisations (such as religious or social groups, embassies, and women’s funds). All we need is a brief description (200-500 words) of the fundraising activity, the outcome (how much was raised as against target), key points explaining why it succeeded (or failed), and any lessons learned. Sharing experiences between one another can stimulate best practice and inspire others to go out and do what you have done (or to avoid your mistakes!).

Please email your summaries, and contact details, to Mal Warwick, Resource Alliance: .

Note: The Resource Alliance is an international network working to build the capacity of non-profit organisations to mobilise funds and local resources. Visit: http://www.resource-alliance.org for details of upcoming courses and resources.
