A website dedicated to breakthrough pain (www.breakthroughpain.eu) was launched at the 10th Congress of the EAPC. The website sponsered by Nycomed, is overseen by an independent Editorial Board consisting of Dr Marilene Filbet (France), Dr Andrew Davies (United Kingdom) and Dr Lukas Radbruch (Germany).

The aim of the website is to provide a one-stop resource on all aspects of breakthrough (episodic) pain. The website is at an embryonal stage, and additional content will be added to the website over the next few months. The main language of the website will be English, but it is envisaged that there will be some content in the other main European languages.
