IPOS-EAPC Collaboration
First contacts in 2003 between the former presidents: Christoffer Johansen from IPOS and Stein Kaasa EAPC.
2004: Franco De Conno, chair of the Scientific Committee of the 3rd Research Forum of the EAPC, Stresa, Italy 3-6 June 2004 invited William Breitbart (USA) to give a keynote lecture, with the title: Beyond Symptom Control: psychosocial and existential issues in palliative care.
2006: Augusto Caraceni (EAPC Board member) and Luigi Grassi (IPOS President) organise a joint IPOS EAPC Session at the 8th World Congress of Psycho-Oncology, in Venice 18-21 October 2006.
2007: EAPC organises a joint IPOS-EAPC session on Communication at the 10th Congress of the EAPC, Budapest, Hungary, 7–9 June 2007.
2008: EAPC organises a joint IPOS-EAPC Session at the 5th Research Forum of the EAPC, Trondheim Norway 28.31 May 2008. Title: The complexity in the understanding and treatment of Depression in PC, Chairs: Luigi Grassi, ITALY and Irene Higginson, UNITED KINGDOM
2008: IPOS organises a joint IPOS-EAPC Symposium at the 10th World Psycho-oncology Congress in Madrid, 9 -13 June, 2008.
