On behalf of the board of directors of the EAPC currently a consensus process on standards and norms for palliative care is being undertaken. The aim is to achieve a Europe-wide consensus on five key areas of palliative care delivery by an online Delphi survey. The process comprises two rounds; the first round has been accomplished in November, 2008, the second round started in April, 2009. The results of the consensus process will be published as EAPC White Paper on standards and norms for palliative care in Europe.
Among all participants of our online consensus process a special award for their participation has been drawn. More detailed information on the methods and the first results of the consensus process have been presented at the scientific poster exhibition during the conference.
