5th Research Forum of the EAPC
Trondheim, Norway, 28 - 31May 2008
Research is the basis for improvement in health care, and palliative care should become evidence based as the rest of the medical field. The EAPC Research Forum has been growing in size and quality since the first Forum in Berlin in 2000.
Palliative care is complex and challenging, and so is also research within this area of health care. Various professions take part in the research and collaboration between professions, nations and countries are factors for success.
We want for the fifth time bring together the best researchers and clinicians in palliative care at our Research Forum in Trondheim in 2008 – close to the artic circle and the midnight sun, to sharpen our minds and warm our hearts. You will be given the best opportunity to meet other experts in your field, to present and discuss research, to get new ideas, new insight into complex challenges and new information on how to improve patient care.
The scientific content of the program is primarily based upon submitted abstracts. Therefore, prepare yourself to submit your most updated research data to the EAPC Research Forum in 2008.
Post congress courses are planned, taking you on a boat trip from Trondheim to beautiful Lofoten, a large island on the coastline of Northern Norway. There will be some days stay in Lofoten, combining science and the beautiful scenery of Norway and a boat trip back to Trondheim. The course will be CME accredited.
We look forward to welcoming you to Trondheim in 2008!
