Remembering VITTORIO
With deep grief we have to announce that on Thursday, 23 October 2008 the father and founder of the EAPC, Vittorio Ventafridda passed away at the Hospice Pio Albergo Trivulzio in Milano.
He has inspired so many people and without him Palliative Care would not be what it has became. He was our pioneer, friend, mentor and we called him with affection our "guru". We will really miss him!
It is a loss for the entire palliative care community as well as for his family. We feel we lost him but we did not lose him as a model in our life.
The funeral was celebrated on Saturday 25 at 2:45 PM – in the chapel of the Istituto Geriatrico Pio Albergo Trivulzio Hospice Via A. Trivulzio 15 – Milano.
